I'm Simon and I'm 16 years old, from near Newcastle, England. I am a pro drummer, I teach them, play them in theatre shows and am also in a rock band (for the time being! :P).
I also play bass, guitar and mandolin in that order. I've been playing drums for 6 years, bass for 4, guitar for 3, and mandolin for just over a year. I have never had any tuition on the stringed instruments, just drums.
Enough rambling about instruments. I am a mad keen music fan, and I love bands such as Incubus, Nirvana, Genesis (early stuff), Pixies, Led Zeppelin, Muse, REM, and many many more. I can't be bothered to post a full list up. :D
I play competitive chess. Geeky? Of course. Fun? Yes. You really should try it.
I'm a rugby player; I play second row/ back row for Morpeth RFC, I used to play second row for Northumberland County before I left them for personal reasons, and I'm also flagged up to go into Newcastle Falcons (Premiership team) academy when I'm the right age. Rugby is a form of stress relief for me, and it also keeps me in moderately good shape.
I love my food. Anybody who witnessed me demolish a starter, a 15" pizza *and* dessert will testify to that. My exercise stops me becoming a couch potato. :D
